Upon installing the latest Beta 4.0 it seems to total fail to open links.
Links from external (outlook) program does nothing except give firefox the focus.
Links from the bookmarks work, but the feedback button, open links in a new tab and copying and pasting links to the address bar all do nothing more than open a blank tab.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Opened firefox many time flicking between 3 and 4.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Links refuse to load from any source other than the bookmarks.
Also the toolbar area does not look or work right.
Expected Results:
Opening links and displaying them.
Works fine for me.
Please try if you can reproduce it by creating a new profile

Tired it in safe mode and it works fine.
There were version 3 & 7 of FF4.0 beta installed also when I installed version 12.
I deleted all version 4.0 betas and re-installed and the same problem.
Here are a list of add-ons I have installed.

By disabling then re-enabling them one at a time.
Found out it's "Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.4" causing the problem. Basically makes the browser unusable.

https://addons.mozilla.org/sv-se/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/
says that "Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.4" is not available for 4.0b12,
so did you override the extension compatibility check?

No I just installed the beta(12) and it was already installed on FF3.x. Obviously enabled by default, or there was some compatibility override flag already set in FF3.x or one of the previous versions of the Beta.
The problem stops you opening the add-ons page (Which should not be possible IMO) although the re-start with add-ons disabled worked and it was easy to fix from then on.
There is a working beta version on their site so if this is live at FF4.0 launch then it should not cause any problems.
Thanks for the help everyone. Keep up the good work.

Ok, so if you enter about:config in the URL bar and type extensions.checkCompatibility in the filter text input, are there any
entries matching that? if so, what value does it have?

All the extensions.checkCompatibility's are set to false

Thanks for testing. Resolving as invalid since the problem is in the add-on.
