User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b12) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b12
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b12) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b12

I was downloading a new extension in Beta 12. After the Install confirmation dialog came up, I clicked the Install button a second too soon. Next thing I knew, the dialog thought it had lost the focus and cancelled the countdown. I had to move the focus to the cancel button to restart the countdown.

Either the dialog has the focus, or it doesn't.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start to install an addon. (I used an extension straight from AMO.)
2. When the Install Confirmation dialog appears, click Install before it becomes enabled (at the end of the countdown).
3.The countdown will disappear as though the focus was no longer on the dialog.
Actual Results:
Clicking Install too soon cancels the countdown.

Expected Results:
A disabled button should ignore all mouse clicks. But it doesn't
I don't have this issue. Can you please create a screencast which demonstrates that behavior?
Version: unspecified → Trunk
I don't have the ability to do more than a simple screen capture. No movies.
Ok. So lets figure out the basics first. Can you reproduce it with a fresh profile and no other add-on installed?

Also please update your build to Firefox 4 RC1 for testing.
It doesn't happen in the new profile. Must be an extension then. Not worth trying to track it down.
Well, try Safe Mode first. Just to make sure it is really an extension. If that doesn't fix the problem it's a preference you have probably set earlier in that profile.
You can install extensions in Safe Mode?
I'm not aware of that we are blocking extension installation in safe mode.
Any updates Will?

I just tried it with with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0. It did happen again.
Could you please create a screencast so we can see what's going on? You can use Jing for it: http://www.techsmith.com/download/jing/
Not at this time.
