From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.76 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.0-test12 i686)
BuildID: 2000122710

If I choose manage profiles the first time I use mozilla, I no longer can
"Convert Profile" successfully.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
0. rm -rf ~/.mozilla
1. run /tmp/package/mozilla
a dialog box pops up that asks
"You are about to create a mozilla profile based on your netscape 4
profile..."
2. Click "Manage Profiles..."
3. Click "Exit"
4. Run /tmp/package/mozilla
   the same dialog pops up.
5. Click "Convert Profile"

Actual Results: Mozilla exits with no output and return value 139.

Expected Results: "Convert Profile" should have brought up a dialog that said:
"Converting user profile...."
and mozilla should have started.
marking new, able to reproduce using steps listed

workaround: on second or subsequent attempt you choose 'manage profiles' and
select the 4.x profile, answer yes to convert, it will migrate and launch

Scenario below is not something a typical end user would run into. Grace - Can
you recreate this problem using the commercial build and no command line
operations.
Bijal,

Using a commercial build on Linux, migration is automatic- no option to
'Convert' or 'Manage' is given.
This can be reproduced using Mozilla - mozilla users are given the option to
migrate or manage (create a new profile)

To your request, using no command line options, user will automatically migrate
the existing 4.7 profile. The only way to see 'Manage' is to use the
-profilemanager command line option.
Okay, so I agree this is an nsbeta- bug
At least you get an option to migrate, I got it once and it didnt work. Now it
boots empty.
to simulate the install,
use the command line with option

~/.mozilla -installer
