BuildID: 2000121214

Renaming the folder should not actually delete it.. in any case

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a mail folder named "venu" inside any folder say inside drafts. and
folder "xyz" inside venu
2.Create "venu2" inside drafts , and folder "abc" inside venu2"
i.e "venu" and "venu2" are at the same level
3.Try to rename the folder "venu" with "venu2"

Actual Results: The folder "venu" goes off and the old "venu2" folder still
remains

Expected Results: It should not happen like this, when a folder is renamed with
the name same as that of existing one , Browser should not accept it , possible
it can show an alert mesage
Summary: Deleting a mail folder and creating a folder with the same name as that of the deleted one brings back the old one → Renaming Mail folder with same name as that of existing folder, will remove the former

You are using a build from 12-12, please try a newer build as racham checked in
a fix for this a while back. Thanks!

Similar to bug 59063, but that was fixed before 2000-12-12. Should 59063 be
reopened?
Worksforme on build 2000122705, Windows98. Reporter, is this problem still there
in latest nightly build?
Reporter, I will mark this WORKSFORME if you don't answer this time: is this
still happening in the latest nightly?
hwaaram, don't mark bugs WORKSFORME just because you don't hear back from bug
reporters.

re-assign to naving, he's worked on this area recently.
