Setting firefox.exe to automatically open PDFs without a PDF extension installed causes the application to reopen the PDF in a new tab indefinitely. Also, after opening each new tab, firefox gives itself the focus; making it difficult to terminate the application.

Steps to reproduce the error: Without a PDF reader installed within firefox, open a PDF File. When it prompts to open or save, choose open and select firefox.exe to be the default application to open and check the "do this automatically" option. Firefox will then open the file repeatedly in new tabs and reclaim the focus each time.

While it seems like you might have to go out of your way to make this happen, it can happen unintentionally if your PDF extension no longer works or is no longer compatible with an updated version of firefox.
