We'd like to set up a discussion forum for the community phonebook project. I think we're going to install this at mozillians.org so I'd like to call the forum mozilla.mozillians

https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/ doesn't show this... you need to turn on list advertising (which is why it's best to let IT finish the bug, as that's on their checklist).

FWIW, I posted an initial message through the mailing list and saw it show up in the newsgroup. I haven't seen it show up in Google Groups yet -- if it hasn't shown up by EOD I'll reopen this bug to check into the gateway setup.
Reopening. The post I made this morning through the mailing list never made it to the Google Group so maybe something is wrong with the gateway? If it would be better to leave this bug closed and open a new one, please let me know.

FYI, the gateway from Google Groups to the list and newsgroup is working fine. I just posted there and saw it show up in the list and newsgroup quickly. I have yet to see the first post I made on the list the other day though show up in Google Groups though so the gateway to there may be horked.

Every post since that one made it through, looks like they were slow getting it set up.
