I think it will not be that uncommon for users to command+click or right click to open an add-on in a new tab from the discovery pane. Because of the transparent background, this will look like crap. We should be able to detect if a details page is not actually in the iframe and if so, redirect to the actual AMO page.

This will make testing hard to do and we get a bonus page-kinda-loads-then-disappears-on-redirect too. I see why you'd want it though.
