Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin not working with Plugin-Container.exe!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. about:config
2. Add "dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.np-mswmp.dll"
3. boolean:false
Actual Results:  
It works, but the plugin container is off.

Expected Results:  
maybe a problem with avast, but not sure

Mike, up to my knowledge I think there is no Windows media player plugin for Firefox on Windows 7.
The plugin is available for only Windows XP, Vista.

This plugin works in Firefox 3.6 in Windows 7, but not in Firefox 4. If you're closing the plugin contaier, than it works in Firefox 4, too.

This is not my experience; I can correctly run the Windows Media player Firefox plugin out of process. I did, however, have to remove RealPlayer for it to not crash.

(Er, though, note that comment 4 applies to Windows XP with Windows Media Player 11 only.)

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
