Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Firefox/3.6.15
Build Identifier:

This might be a clue to bug 389650, too.

I clicked on a "Mailto" link in a website, and a "write" window popped up. I was interrupted frequently with "Unable to save your message as a draft".

THUNDERBIRD WAS NOT UP! Maybe it was partially up, and could not save drafts.

I was unable to reproduce. So maybe if thunderbird was EVER up, it's OK.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
Anything in Tools -> Error console ?

Local or imap draft folder ?

ERROR CONSOLE:

Last message in error console is:
mail.comcast.net : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555

I don't think it's related. Time stamps on these messages would be helpful.

FOLDER:
I have no idea. It would have been helpful if the error message had said which folder.

In trying to reproduce it, I did see that it was saving in the draft folder under the sending email account. Was it also saving in an IMAP folder? I have no idea.

Also, remember that Thunderbird was not up. Only a "Write" window popped up when I clicked on a mailto link. It will be difficult to check options and which folder is in use.

hope this helps.

probably got the error message because the 3-pane was not up and not logged in to the mail account.

invalid or duplicate (more likely the later)

Ken, do you still see this problem? One problem related to "the later" has been fixed since your last posting.
