We'd like to update the existing Android Market description to reflect GA. The new copy incorporates existing localized content: +++++++++++ Introducing Firefox 4 for Android! It's not clear to me what you expect me to work on, we have already translated the Android market place description for previous versions in bug 604500 and the structure was totally different with 3 to 4 separate strings corresponding to the Android Market form to describe an application. Some of them with a length limit (http://www.monsite-l10n-misc.com/androidmarket/qa/?lang=fr). This Google document is much longer and looks like a draft for a formatted brochure. Please clarify what your needs are (plain text or text in markup, is it the same set of locales you had me work on for betas, possible limitations in string lengths...), thanks.

Thanks for commenting in the bug, Pascal. I know that you and your team has localized the Android Description once before, but we're asking for the description copy to be updated again to reflect Firefox 4 for Android. This is a major release, as you know, which is why we're asking for localization of updated copy. (The Android Description copy length has been updated, so character count will accommodate this new description). This is the page/description for our #1 distribution channel. The bulleted list in the gdoc is all new copy for the What's New section of the Android app profile. Would you like this section in a separate bug? Once again, we're hoping to have this updated and new copy by GA (3/29). Thanks!
Caitlin, I understand the motivation, I just don't have precise enough information to work on that. Is the list of locales you want the same we had it translated for the beta? The text in your Google doc is processed with bullet points, colors, bold and links, does it mean that you want an document with html markup and no longer plain text? There is also no title in your document and I guess you don't want to keep the current one which is "Firefox 4 Beta Web Browser".
I'll go in and make sure the doc is more clear. 2 requests: update the new description, and translate the What's New copy which is bulleted list like you see in the gdoc. Yes, the locales available in the Android Market remain the same.
No plan to update the description for RC? We've released "RC" builds on the marketplace but it is titled as "Beta". # Some people are asking us where can they get rc builds.
The English version was updated, but not the other languages. I have asked Stuart to removed the Beta link from the other descriptions until the GA copy is ready to go.
What's the status on this document? Can I have *clear* information please?

Hey Pascal, Can you provide a status update after our last chat conversation?
AFAIK, we have all that we need on Google Play today and this is handled by different people now (Milos on the l10n side, Jacklyn on engagement side). Marking Fixed.
