I have one account - listed as a special account. Has SMTP server only!

I try to delete this "special" account - will not do it. The settings show only a "Junk Settings", "Disk Space" and an SMTP server googlemail - smtp.googlemail.com (default) Also a AT&T SMTP.att.yahoo.com.
Any e-mail sent to me at the SBCGLOBAL.NET email (which is neil.bell@sbcglobal.net is automatically sent to my gmail address which is neil.neilbell@gmail.com. Why this is I don't know. I want to remove all accounts and start fresh with two accounts and one SMTP server.
How can I get rid of the current configuration. I have tried un-install and re-install - nop help. Tried a fresh download - no help
