Lately, after upgrading to the latest Firefox version, I've had system lockups.
It has occurred when
- I've typed/refreshed a Facebook page
- I have loaded a Yahoo mail account page
... and various other occasions when Firefox has been open.
It's not possible to task switch after that, for example I tried to use Process Explorer to end FireFox, but I can't even switch to it.
Firefox has been my primary browser for a couple of years. It has been VERY rare on my system with complete system freezes before and I've had a great experience with WinXP (and Firefox _before_). But until this has been solved, I'm on Google Chrome. No similar problems seen so far with Chrome.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Not easily reproducible. Happens a couple of times a day.
2.
3.
Please try if you can reproduce it by creating a new profile

Ok, I have now created a new profile and imported my bookmarks, etc.
Will try if I get a computer freeze with this new profile.
Best Regards

Reporter, if a clean profile does not help, please try using Safe Mode. Thanks.

Ok, will do. No freeze yet, but I think I'll try to run with a clean profile for a week before I draw any conclusions.
Thanks for your propsals and assistance so far.

With my new profile, no freeze or hang-up of Firefox after almost a week.
So maybe it was the old profile with the new version that was causing the problem... Thank you for your assistance!
Best Regards
/Christian
