When I first click on or tab to a textbox, I expect the blinking insertion
point to start at the beginning of its "visible" phase. Classic and html form
controls get this right, but Modern starts it at the end of its "visible" phase
or at the beginning of its "invislbe" phase.
Happens in Classic too, in Prefs->MailNews (but not in
Prefs->Advanced->Proxies).
Summary: [modern] blinking insertion point starts in wrong phase → blinking insertion point starts in wrong phase

Can you elaborate on what you mean. I don't understand "visible" and
"invisible" phases.
