update window

Build ID: Firefox 3.5.17
Mac OS 10.4, PPC Architecture

When checking for updates on FF 10.4 from Mac 10.4 PPC, an update window appears.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open FF
2. Go to channel-prefs.js and change the "release" keyword to "betatest".
2. Go to Help -> Check for Updates

Actual Results:
A Software Update window appears with the message: "There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. Firefox could not update because: Update XML file malformed (200)"
See the screenshot for more details.

Expected Results:
The user should get no notifications at all for the update.

Could you capture the AUS URL please ? Use the LiveHTTPHeaders extension, or there there is an update logging pref in about:config which will put information in the Error Console.
This is a week old, and tons have changed with the snippets since the original report. Please re-open if it's still an issue.
