I keep wanting to do stuff on the weekends, and it's a pain not to have ports available. So, please open up a range of ports to just forward to local ports.
e.g. 1000 through 1020?

In this case, since your host isn't completely in the DMZ, it is protected by our core firewall. This means that its public IP is actually hosted on our firewall, and that first-level access control happens there, and you won't have access to that.
I've just opened up ports 1000-1020, enjoy. You can do any fancy iptables tricks you care with them, like redirecting them elsewhere and such.
Lemme know if you need any help.
And interestingly, there are only 2 official registered ports in that range:
cadlock2 1000/tcp
surf 1010/tcp
