When I click the Bookmarks button or menu item, I first get a small scrollable window showing some action options, personal toolbar, recently bookmarked, recent tags and then the usual list of unsorted bookmarks. There was a line indicating unsorted bookmarks, and a mouse-hover indicated it was empty. The line disappeared on a bookmarks access a bit later. When I click on "manage bookmarks", there's a sidebar and also a main-list entry for unsorted bookmarks. Clicking on it does nothing. I've got about 400K of SM 2.0 bookmarks, stretched to about 500K using SM 2.1. Searches bring up items from the unsorted list, but I can't display the unsorted list.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on bookmarks in browser window
2. Click on "manage bookmarks" in the initial bookmark window
3. View and click on the unsorted bookmarks entry in either the sidebar or main bookmarks list
Actual Results:
Nothing happens. No list of unsorted bookmarks appears.

Expected Results:
The list of unsorted bookmarks should be displayed so I can scroll down and up the list and see what I've got, and maybe click on something to access a site or edit a bookmark.

On an earlier run of this SM 2.1b3pre, I didn't get any of my bookmarks, just the Home and Bookmarks buttons on the toolbar. On viewing the files in the profile, I found my old 400K html bookmark file, a bookmarkbackups folder with maybe 8 correct-sized bookmark backups (500K) and one dated today with size 4K. The run I just did failed to import the old bookmarks and just displayed a file of column headers. I renamed the backup folder so a new one would be created, and the new one was created with a right-sized bookmark file. I got the toolbar and other bookmarks back onscreen, but the unsorted bookmarks don't show. I'm noticing that there's been some recent work on bookmark cosmetics, but correct file handling and display are vital. If the program does some processing on html bookmarks and the user exits prematurely, the saved json file may be empty (data loss).
The last right-sized bookmarks json file in my backup folder was dated 2011-3-2. I have tried nightlies only once in a while because chatzilla was missing, but would guess the missing unsorted bookmarks problem is due to a change since 3-2.
"All Bookmarks" shows categories of bookmarks and "Bookmarks Menu" shows the unsorted but apparently sortable bookmarks. What is the purpose of Unsorted Bookmarks icon which seems empty? It certainly is confusing to have there. Some of my initial report is invalid, but there is a possibility of data loss, maybe from incomplete processing of html bookmarks.
Is this still reproducible in current SeaMonkey versions?
