Mid-2007 24" iMac, OSX 10.6.6 and WinXP Pro Service Pack 3, 4GB RAM. Firefox Sync gives "Error While Syncing" and nothing changes until FF is restarted, and if I'm lucky it will work. It's either badly broken or working fine when I launch FF, and nothing I do affects the outcome. If - as it frequently is - Sync is broken one session I just have top keep restarting FF till it works another session.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch FF in either OSX or WinXP
2. Firefox Sync will either be broken and stay that way for the entirety of the session, or not be.
3. If Sync is broken, begin restarting FF till it finally is working, and once it is it will always work during that session.
Actual Results:  
Install Firefox Sync in either OSX or WinXP, restart Firefox and hope Sync isn't broken - which it often will be.

Expected Results:  
Firefox Sync should not be utterly broken for the entirety of a session. Having to restart FF over and over to get a working Sync with dozens of tabs open is painful.

Firefox Sync 1.7 in OSX, whatever the latest is in Windows.

It is now failing with this error every single time I run Firefox in OSX. It used to only fail some of the time. However in WinXP it still only fails some of the time, not always.

Sync is now failing in FF 7 in WinXP (I no longer use FF for Mac - I've switched to Camino).
