Greetings!
My site uses dynamically created message panels and assign urls on-fly. The concern is that when I use the back button, the panel become blank first, indicating that FF moves one "page" back. I need to click more times depending on the number of the panels I have before I go back to the previous page. Please go the bottom of the main page and click the Affiliate link to test.
Other browser works fine with the above. Therefore it seems a FF specific defect.
Thanks!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Scroll to the bottom of the page
2. Click the Affiliate link
3. Click the back button
Actual Results:
The message panels become blank one by one each time the back button is clicked. Then the main page shows.
Expected Results:
The main page shows right away.

Works fine for me. Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode?

How about with a new, empty profile?

Alleged bug reproduced with a clean profile in:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.2a1pre) Gecko/20110409 Firefox/4.2a1pre
Multiple back button-clicks were required after waiting a while between step 2 and 3. I also observed the blank message panels.
A as comparison I repeated the steps in Chromium, but there only one click on the back button was required, and I did not see any blank panels.

I tried to find a regression range, but Firefox has behaved like this at least since:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040609 Firefox/0.8.0+
I don't have GTK 1.2, so I've not been able to test even earlier versions.

This is mostly behaving as it should: navigating back navigates the things that were last navigated one by one, including subframes. This only happens for the intial about:blank for subframes that are loaded after the main document finishes loading, though; presumably the ones on this page page are of that variety.
WebKit doesn't usefully support session history in iframes at all, so this will "work" there, but other cases are badly broken.
IE does support session history in iframes, but seems to special-case about:blank somehow. We have existing bugs on trying to reverse-engineer that, of which this seems to be a duplicate.
