This is exactly like bug 639512; it turns out that the ongoing cron job had a bug causing most Fennec crashes (about 80%) to not be fixed and re-processed (Firefox Linux are fine). See bug 643201.

I'd like to land bug 643594 and test in prod before we do this, setting blocking.
I don't want to do this on release day, especially given the extra load we're expecting. How urgent is it?

I think it can wait until after release day. The situation is that we're only fixing ~20% of incoming Fennec crashes from the broken version, but we are fixing all incoming Firefox Linux crashes from the broken betas.

Rob,

Are we actually doing this? It's been 3 months. Do the Fennec people even care about the crashes from March at this point?

I've been meaning to find out about this; I am not sure if it matters at this point, the individual reports are fixed in HBase, and the reports that use TCBS don't generally go back that far.
