Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

If the unresponsive script warning sheet appears, it is always in the same y-position whether the tab bar is showing or not. This has the unfortunate effect of floating somewhere in the middle of the location bar, not actually attached to any part of the parent chrome.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable "Always show the tab bar".
2. Trigger Unresponsive script warning and observe position of the sheet.
3. Disable "Always show tab bar"
4. Open a window with no tabs.
5. Trigger Unresponsive script warning and observe position of the sheet.
Actual Results:
Sheet appears in same y-position whether tab bar is showing or not.

Expected Results:
Sheet position should be adjusted so that it appears to be attached to some actual piece of chrome in the window.

A fix for bug 618770 would probably fix this, too.
Depends on: 618770

I can reproduce the issue also on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.2a1pre) Gecko/20110406 Firefox/4.2a1pre

The warning dialog box is not attached to any part of the browser.

I have this bug, except the window is cut off to a tiny square at the top left of my screen, and I can only find it after I quit Firefox as it is shutting down. Is there any way to stop an unresponsive script with this bug? Other than a browser reset?

Do you still see this problem?

Tester on Mac doesn't reproduce similar bug 643160
