I used the 'Quick Locale Switcher' add on for FF, and registered a new user on the /fr locale. After confirming the user, their profile had English as the preferred email language. Please close if I needed to follow different steps. 1) FF > set locale to FR via Quick Locale Switcher 2) navigate to /fr > register new user 3) confirm user > log in> edit profile expected: preferred email language = FR actual: en-US
Seems legitimate to use the request's locale when setting the profile's locale on registration. Up for review.
