Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it) http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

With safe-mode it crashes but it doesn't give a "Segmentation fault" message. With a new profile: I didn't followed that profile manager tutorial, I just moved my ~/.mozilla to something else and started Firefox. I don't think is any different, and it gives this nice mem dump: http://pastebin.com/gbx4HbRR

I could not reproduce the issue on: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Can you be more clear on what are the expected results?

(In reply to comment #3) > I could not reproduce the issue on: > Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 > > Can you be more clear on what are the expected results? It should not crash and load the webpage entirely. It isn't an instant crash, the webpage starts loading, and after a second or two it crashes.

What build did you have installed? I cannot reproduce the issue on a downloaded build, from the Mozilla website.

I have the gentoo version, that I see now has a patchset applied. I'll talk this with the packagers.

Please consider the Firefox build from the official Mozilla website to report this issue. If you can still reproduce it, than it is likely to be a bug. If not, please change the status of this bug to resolved.

This bug should have never been filed. It belongs downstream in gentoo. If you can open a bug and assign to mozilla@gentoo.org would be appreciated, Sorry for the noise folks.
