User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 I have three problems with the new 4.0 release relating to toolbars. I remove the Amazon button from the main toolbar only to have it reappear the very next time I restart. I have two custom toolbars I have to recreate almost every time I restart. I have a "Security Toolbar" that has WOT, Adblock Plus, Flashblock, and Better Privacy. I have Location on its own "Location Toolbar". Most of the time the "Security Toolbar" and the "Location Toolbar" both get clobbered when Firefox restarts Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. I created customized toolbars 2. Rebooted Firefox Actual Results: Sometimes the tool-bars are there and sometimes not after I restart. Regardless the Amazon button always is back even after it's been removed from the toolbar. Expected Results: Customized (user Created) toolbars should have stayed in place.

I can get this problem and simply restart and nothing is wrong. It's a really weird problem.
Does the same happen to your custom toolbars when no add-on is installed?
Works for me on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0. Also, could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it) http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
Bump for comment 3.
John, any updates on the questions in comment 3?
Reporter feel free to reopen this bug if the issue is reproducible on the latest Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
