User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 If you mousedown in an iframe and while holding the button down, move the mouse pointer over to an element in the parent document, mouseover on that element will not fire. This is a problem since FF4.0 and it breaks existing drag & drop scripts where you could drag and drop between iframes/frames. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1 Press and hold the mouse button in an iframe. 2 Move the mouse pointer over to an element, that has an event handler for 'onmouseover' attached, in the iframes parent. 3 The 'onmouseover' event should fire on that element, but doesn't. See the simple test case at http://bananascript.com/mouseover/ Actual Results: Event doesn't fire. Expected Results: Event should fire. Only affecting Firefox 4. It breaks existing drag & drop scripts where you can drag & drop between iframes/frames. Worked fine in 3.x.

Firefox 4.0.1 has the same bug. Is there any workaround for drag & drop between an iframe and the top window?
A similar bug, maybe duplicate: bug 654229 "right-click menu items unselectable when button is not released".
