If adding bookmarks into the navigation toolbar, and having search engine/address bar on the right: After restarting firefox the custom width of each is lost, and bookmarks use up maximum space => address bar & search engine getting tiny useless placeholders in the right corner
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a couple of items into your bookmarks Toolbar
2. Customize settings and move bookmarks section onto the same line with address bar/search input
3. Tune width of address bar so some bookmarks get hidden under '>>'
4. Restart firefox
Actual Results:
Width of address bar/search input gets resetted to minimal width
Expected Results:
Custom widths shall be used/kept

I could not reproduce the issue reported.
Can you attach some screenshots?

Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode:

How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it)

I experience this problem as well, with Firefox 4.0 under Ubuntu 10.10, whith a freshly regenerated localstore.rdf. However, it does not seem to happen at strictly every launch.
I was able to get around this by changing ownership of localstore.rdf to root.
this bug might be related to #612928, #642440, #633250, #644975 or #645971. I attached my own localstore.rdf to he first bug in this list.
