Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it) http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch

If you exit Firefox and then start using the normal shortcut, it will be in normal mode. This was likely a problem with one of your addons. If you ever find out which one, please post back. Marking as worksforme for now, since has been resolved - thanks!
