User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Just installed Firefox 4. The same problem occurs, both on this computer and on my Windows 7 system at work. If I do to a site like Digg, Reddit, BBC, Huffpo, etc. I have no page forward or page back navigation -- arrows are gray, mouse button inoperative. This bug first appeared on the last update to Firefox 3. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to Digg 2.Select item, go. 3.No way back. Actual Results: No back or forward navigation after going to any page within a site like Digg, Reddit, CNN, any news site, etc. etc. Expected Results: Before the Firefox update of a couple of weeks ago, I always had normal navigation.

I have found the problem: McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.3.1 add-on. Disable this and proper navigation is restored.

Thanks for the follow up. 3.3.1 was supposed to fix a number of problems, so worrying that it doesn't...
