User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 when browsing the web, I often come across a URL address on a webpage that is NOT a link (for example, the address is spelled out http://bugzilla.mozilla.org) but is not underlined and hence clicking it will not act as a link. If I highlight the address and right-click I am given an option to "Search Google for 'http://bugzilla.mozilla.org'" Why am I not given the option "Go To 'http://bugzilla.mozilla.org'"? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. navigate to: http://maketecheasier.com/28-coolest-firefox-aboutconfig-tricks/2008/08/21 2.Ctrl + F to find: http://sam.vilain.net/ samv 3. highlight "http://sam.vilain.net/ samv" and right-click 4. observe how there is no "Go To 'http://sam.vilain.net/ samv'" option Actual Results: Search Google for "http://sam.vilain.net/ samv" Expected Results: Go To "http://sam.vilain.net/ samv" offered a "Go To" option

I don't see any not linkified URL on that page. Also this should have been implemented for Firefox 4. See bug 454518. Can you please give a better example?
I can no longer find the link on the page I previously provided you. Sorry! Please perform the following for (hopefully) a clear illustration of what I'm reporting: 1.) go to: https://ssl.scroogle.org/ 2.) search for "wikipedia" 3.) the first result looks like so: 1. Wikipedia "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. . . . www.wikipedia.org/ 4.) triple-click "www.wikipedia.org/" (or just highlight with the mouse). 5.) right-click the highlighted text and observe how there is no "Go To" option in the drop-down menu. there is only a "Search For" option. A "Go To" option would take you directly to the web page. A "Search For" option takes you to a search engine's results page. Please see attached image for further clarification of the right-click menu only displaying a "Search For" option. (Take note: there is no "Go To" option on MS Windows either).

Look higher. It's called Open Link. There's even a Open Link in New Tab and New Window. In Firefox 4.0 it doesn't only work on real links, but also on every word-combination that looks like a URL. "wikipedia" doesn't work, but "www.wikipedia.org" or "http://www.wikipedia.org" does.
