Currently when a user is "offline" there is no way to enable the mobile radio through Firefox. The user has to close Firefox, find either their widget or go into their settings to enable the mobile radio.

I'm not sure if Firefox can do this in the application but it would be nice to have a button within Firefox on the "offline mode" network error page that allowed the user to enable the mobile radio. Maybe even a wifi and 4G radio button too.
What do you mean with mobile radio?
That is what it is usually referred to but I mean like if you go into the "Wireless & Networks" settings and disable/enable the Mobile Network, Wi-Fi, or 4G. Many users have and use default widgets to easily enable/disable these networks or radios.
This would go great with the redesigning of the network error pages bug 582048 and would fix some issues mentioned in bug 479922 (that is a firefox bug but some of the points apply to Fennec as well).
Thomas, can you evaluate and prioritize this with your teams? (Release drivers are not going to be tracking this.)
Asa, I'm not sure if Thomas was correctly CC'ed? This bug history shows you adding "asa@mozilla.org, tarend@mozilla.com" to the CC list but the CC shows a "arendsf@gmail.com" which is close but not the same you added even though the latter email was never shown as being added and the former as never being removed.
Thomas has changed the email address on his Bugzilla account.
