User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Firefox 4 - http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-4.0&os=linux&lang=en-US <xul:button label=" " image="chrome://custom-for-this-extension/content/test.png" /> does not display the image. <xul:button label="" image="chrome://customforthisextension/content/test.png" /> and <xul:button image="chrome://customforthisextension/content/test.png" /> do. This is true for any label being set, not just a single space. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an extension 2. Put inside of it two identical button elements with an image, one with a label, one without 3. The image will not appear Actual Results: The button with the label does not show the image, the button without the label does. Expected Results: Both buttons will show the image, and the one with the label will also show the label. Exact same extension works in FF3.6 and displays both the label and the image. Ubuntu 10.10 64bit
Can you point me to the extension in question or attach it here? That would make it a lot simpler to hunt this down; otherwise I'd need to create an extension myself.....
Open the pref window to see the bug. In firefox3 middle button has both a label and an image, in firefox4 only the label displays for the middle button.
Just tested in a firefox4 nightly build. The same bug exists. Screenshots can be attached if required.
Works for me. All Firefox versions I have tried have both label and image on the middle button. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110420 Firefox/3.6.17 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110523 Firefox/6.0a1
Andre, please test this with the latest nightly build: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/
Andre, is this bug still an issue with current versions of Firefox?
Yes, bug still exists on both my Arch linux and my Ubuntu 11.04 with Firefox 10.0.02.
that is, 10.0.2
I can provide you with any information on my GTK environment if that helps.
If you use GNOME, I think this is GNOME feature. Please try: Quit Browser Start terminal window Execute gconf-editor Select /desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icons and turn on checkbox Restart Browser
WFM with 2013-12-08-03-02-04-mozilla-central-firefox-28.0a1.en-US.linux-x86_64. Confirmed that a setting affects it: in Xfce, there are checkboxes in Appearance → Settings. Andre, do you still have this problem? Have you tried changing a GTK setting?
