It stutters, stammers, seizes, freezes, fails to respond and refuses to load about every other page I try to visit. BUT WORST of all ..it lags on keystrokes, sometimes falling behind by 4 or 5 strokes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.type 2. 3. Actual Results: falls behind by 4 or 5 keystrokes Expected Results: I expect it to keep up with my slow typing
Works fine for me. Please try if you can reproduce it or if it works fine 1.in safe mode. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode 2.or by creating a new profile https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles#Creating_a_profile

I can confirm that this bug still exists in v.109 and going back maybe for release over the past 5 or 6 months, if not longer. It happens in the search and address bars, input fields on webpages, and in doing online group document contributions. The latter is what got me frustrated, and I finally figured out that it wasn't a slow internet problem (since I'm infrequently involved in online doc contributions). In researching this online I have found many very frustrated FireFox users, since it renders FireFox close to useless for anyone who has to do a lot of online writing.

So I recommend that this bug be elevated.

Perhaps related to the bug: I am also having trouble with chaotic wheel-roll scrolling and autoscrolling, and it may be that this has the same underlying cause as the above -- that is, delayed (and in some cases lost) input data from keystrokes. Perhaps wheel-rolls, wheel-clicks, and mouse movement is also delayed or lost, leading to the unpredictable hesitant to out of control scrolling I am now consistently am having.

In my case, the problems also exist in safe mode and with hardware acceleration both off or on . Lenovo E560 laptop, i5 dual core CPU, Intel(R) HD Graphics 520, 16gb RAM with ~6gb free generally.

Given the age of the original bug whatever you're seeing is almost certainly unrelated. What would help would be to provide a performance profile of Firefox while typing so we can see if anything unusual is going on. If you follow the steps up to sharing the profile and then paste the url here we can look further.
