These machines were set up in bug 635964, but never put into production. They are now being re-purposed in bug XXXXXX. They are already powered down because we are over capacity on the circuit in AFK (just blew a breaker).

moz2-darwin10-slave57
moz2-darwin10-slave58
moz2-darwin10-slave59
moz2-darwin10-slave60
moz2-darwin10-slave61
try-mac64-slave32
try-mac64-slave33
try-mac64-slave34
try-mac64-slave35
try-mac64-slave36

They should be adjusted appropriately in inventory, nagios, DNS, and whatever else is required.
The rev2 minis with the following asset tags (moz2-darwin10-slave{59-61}) are on clint's desk now - check with him to find the appropriate designation for them in inventory:

00797
00795
00794
Could we turn

moz2-darwin10-slave57
moz2-darwin10-slave58
try-mac64-slave32
try-mac64-slave33
try-mac64-slave34
try-mac64-slave35
try-mac64-slave36

into foopy05 through foopy11, and get a base snow leopard install?
(Do you want a new bug?)
Summary: remove minis in AFK from nagios, inventory, DNS → repurpose 10 minis

Evidently these are all given to bmoss and we'll need a new solution for the foopies.

to put some asset-taggy goodness into this bug:

moz2-darwin10-slave59
moz2-darwin10-slave60
moz2-darwin10-slave61
are the three asset tags in comment 1 - 00797, 00795, and 00794. I don't know which was which.

moz2-darwin10-slave57 - 0796
moz2-darwin10-slave58 - 0648
try-mac64-slave32 - 2280
try-mac64-slave33 - 00703
try-mac64-slave34 - 2345
try-mac64-slave35 - 00938
try-mac64-slave36 - 00941

From the sound of things on IRC, the above 7 machines were given to clint/bmoss, perhaps incorrectly.

Amy, can you mark these appropriately in inventory and catch Nagios, DNS, and DHCP up accordingly?

OK, the comment about the seven machines being given to clint was incorrect - I'm not sure where that came from. Well, that it was from IRC should be a hint :)

So, amy -- for the moment, can you remove these minis and mark them spare? Ping me in IRC so I can do the inventory part.

Aki, can you open a new bug for the new foopies, since it seems indeterminate whether you want to use rev2 minis (of which we now have 9 spare) or new hardware.
We already have bug 635907 for new foopies.

Correction: These were not supposed to be given to bmoss/ctalbert, they were to be used as a set of identical foopies to share tegra load, and eliminate concerns of different foopy hardware having different SUTagent behavior. I found these 7 machines sitting unplugged in AFK. I've verified asset tag#s match machine names for all 7 machines.

Zandr: I've put these 7 machines at your desk for reimaging with osx10.6. Please rename these as foopy(05...11}.b.m.o.

Open question: unknown what happened to moz2-darwin10-slave{59...61}? From emails with clint/bmoss, I believe the plan was to image moz2-darwin10-slave{59...61} as foopy{01,02,03), take the current rev1 foopies out of production, and recycle the rev1s for clint/ATeam work. Investigating... anyone know?
Summary: repurpose 10 minis → repurpose rev2 minis as foopy{05...11}.b.m.o
Those went to mfinkle/blassey for mobile 50-android-phone-test-boxen work.
"Reimaging with 10.6" is ambiguous.

Do you want a base install, the image I used for the machine for bmoss, or do you have another image, or ref machine?
For foopy05 through 11, Snow Leopard (just the OS).
These are imaged, should I rack them up in MV, or do you want to work on them directly first.
Imaged and on my desk.
These can't be administered remotely until we turn on remote desktop.

Changes have been made in dns, dhcp, and inventory. Please open a new ticket when you're ready to have the new foopies monitored via nagios.
