it's harder than what the summary implies.

what if a pop user delete local folders, adds a news server, and then deletes 
the pop account?

I don't expect to fix this for 0.9, marking future.

Doesn't this bug depend on all the bugs about the *actual* folders not being
deleted when one deletes them in Mailnews?
Marking this bug as a dup of 110672 since there is more explanation and
discussion about the same.  Please follow the other bug for more information. 
These two bugs are basically requesting the same to be able to delete local folders.
