As revealed in bug 646546, there is a page for the "Mozilla Developer Preview" project on Mozilla.org that purports to present the latest available (pre-)Firefox code. What it considers the "latest", however, is a build with version number 3.7a5, released in mid-2010. This pre-dates the release of Firefox 4, but makes no mention of that. (This developer preview was released before the decision to up the version number to 4.0; the Gecko version is also out-of-date, marked as 1.9.3 alpha, rather than 2.0.) I propose we edit the Developer Preview page to stop calling this release the "latest" and point to the nightly builds page or somesuch, or simply redirect the page altogether. Also, from the looks of it, this page may be a startup page, so it could still be getting (many?) active pageviews, while pointing visitors in the wrong direction.
Depends on: 649636
I plan to redirect these old pages (also the Namoroka and Shiretoko landing pages) to the new channels page on mozilla.com. Will probably get to that in the next couple of days.
