Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20110310 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20110310 Firefox/4.0 In some conditions, it is impossible to click on a menu or a contextual menu. When the mouse hovers the menu, it disappears like something is taking the focus or is in front of the menu. Once the problem appears, it happens every time on every menu. A way to restore a normal behavior can be minimizing the window or unmaximizing/maximizing it or closing firefox and running it again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.When the problem appears in some particular conditions 2.Show a menu (right click anywhere, click on File, Edit, View, History....) 3.Pass the cursor on a menu item to click on it Actual Results: The menu disappears when the cursor enters the menu zone and the user cannot click on it. Expected Results: The menu should stay and the cursor should hover the menu and highlight the menu items. Tested on a clean firefox 4 profile with no addon. Seems to happen more frequently when the menu bar is always shown like on older firefox.

Please provide a site where the issue occurs
Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
The problem occurs generally when opening a new blank tab but i am still not able to find a scenario to reproduce the issue. The other tabs opened are gmail and hotmail.

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile
