If you focus, for example, a button, and you check caretOffset of its text interface (not with DOMi nor accerciser, as window needs to be active to return caret), it is set after the last character. Is should be -1

Notice that firefox 3.6 is still reporting a caret position in this situation, but at 0 instead of at characterCount
