If you have a page with a dark background and a white text color linked to the document with <link>, you can select not to use the stylesheet with View | Use Stylesheet | None. This cancels all the style information except from the color which has been set for the text. Seen in build 2001010904 on Windows 98. Severity Major because if the text is white, the user won't see it at all. I'm going to attach a simplified testcase with the text color as yellow, so you can see it's a general problem.

The bug has also been seen on Linux. Changing OS to all.

I see this on a linux CVS build from 2001-01-09 as well as linux build 2001-01-05-08. Turning off style context sharing doesn't help. setting OS to all.

Netscape's standard compliance QA team reorganised itself once again, so taking remaining non-tables style bugs. Sorry about the spam. I tried to get this done directly at the database level, but apparently that is "not easy because of the shadow db", "plus it screws up the audit trail", so no can do...
