Feel free to trash this, but it's a general start.

Hard parts:
- feature widget
- copy
- videos + fallback

Rest should be relatively simple and we can change it over time.  Let's do it!

Why Mozilla:
Come up with tons of By the Numbers -- maybe change them frequently -- create a bunch initially and flip through them.
Tally demographics -- pie chart, map of where we are.
Pie chart to show remote vs. non-remote.
Figure out a creative way to use location to personalize messaging and be inclusive.
Use Cooliris to build a wall of Mozilla that displays our feature videos and photos (or something like it).
Rainer can create a Mozilla careers channel.

Some quick updates:

COOLIRIS "WALL OF MOZILLA":
There's a WebGL version in Chrome Experiments (not open source):

And, there's a canvas project that's started the work:

However, even if we did do this, I think there's too much going on and it seems tacky.  I'm working on one that has the Cooliris feel (moving images), without being as 3D.  I should have a decent prototype/initial version by next Friday.

MOZILLA BY THE NUMBERS:
Probably just use Flot for pie graphs, although that might be overkill.

The map can use Potch's SVG map from download day.

GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK:
"High Res" mock-up in HTML, showing off the wall of Mozilla, the "Mozilla by the numbers", map and the GeoIP stuff.

Following up from comment #1, let's be sure to file bugs for copy & design when the UX work is complete. The proper components can be found here:

Laura & Chrissie can make sure this gets slotted into the appropriate release. Also, copying Bret so he can weigh in on the messaging (if he hasn't already...not sure).
