I tried to find the regression window but it was hard because the exact nature of the problems change many times.
Could be. roc made me do it.
OK.  I call it a dupe unless about:plugins says something other than
"File: npwrapper.libflashplayer.so".

Might be worth checking that this is getting called:

No, that quirk doesn't seem to be hit because description is null.
Forcing that quirk on fixes the problem.
