I'm using Ubuntu 10.4 (GNOME). The background color of the target url box in Firefox is taken from the Tooltip Background Color in GNOME appearance (tested this by customizing it), however the text color (dark grey it seems) from the url box is not taken from the Tooltip Text Color in GNOME. This can result in a color mismatch. The colors don't change when using a different persona.
I can only solve this by editing the tooltip colors in GNOME, but this breaks my theme in other places.
Other tooltips/boxes which you get when hovering over tabs/toolbarbuttons and such, also use this background color, but are readable as they use a different text color. But I noticed these boxes also don't use the tooltip text color from GNOME, so the chance of unreadable texts with certain themes exists there too.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select a theme in GNOME with a darkgrey or black tooltip background color
2.Look at the target URL boxes in Firefox when hovering over a link.
Actual Results:
The target url box background was black, the text dark grey and thus unreadable
Expected Results:
Firefox should have taken both the background and the text color from GNOME tooltip colors OR defined both colors itself, thus making the box readable with any theme.

Can you please provide a screenshot of this issue?
Also please try reproducing it on a clean profile:

Screenshot is not possible, the target bar disappears when I hit printscreen.
However as a result of your other question I discovered that an experimental add-on (Vertical Tabs) caused this issue. So feel free to close the bug, unless you want to use it to limit the ways in which add-on makers can modify colors (for example force them to modify the text color if they change a background color).
