When using the filter search, the search starts with the oldest mail of the archive, which rarely are the most relevant of the search when having >50 mails. More likely, it's the newest mail. Thus, I suggest changing how Thunderbird searches folders to new-old from old-new.
Also, changing the search order will make the listing sequence more fluent: The window starts empty while stacking new filtered items below the first result.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open filter search of a folder
2. Type a name that is often used
3. Press enter
Actual Results:
In the relevant results sequence, the last mail is shown first, while newer mails stack the list above.
Expected Results:
Reverse the search sequence: Search the newest mails first.
