649010 - selected message not displayed when retrieving new messages

When starting Thunderbird if you click on a message (post) in news section it doesn't get displayed because it waits for new messages to be downloaded. When new messages are downloaded it still doesn't show that specific message I've selected until I restart Thunderbird. Also when reading some posts (so this time Thunderbird is already running for a while) and automatic message retrieving occurs, the same thing happens and I have to restart Thunderbird to see the message. Again, this happens with newsgroups, not with e-mail messages.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open Thunderbird
2. click on any message in the news section while downloading of new messages for news account is in progress

Actual Results:  
The message shows blank space and only after restarting Thunderbird you can see the message (if you don't repeat the steps described above...)

Expected Results:  
The message should appear immediately after selecting it, no matter what the program is currently doing (retrieving messages)

No special additional info except the fact that it happens for quite a while now - i mean it happened in older versions also, but it started to annoy me today so i filed a bug just now because i thought someone else would.

Can you try to compact your newsgroups and rebuild the indexes (right click on the newsgroup name to perform these duties) and let us know if it work better after compacting and rebuilding indexes.
