We like pushing our code to github, but it's not great to rely on it for deployment.

Can we start running https://github.com/jbalogh/reflecto? It's a python app that listens to github commit hooks and checks out/updates any github repo.

The script should get http auth but the mirrored repos should be public.

Can I have a server for this? It can be in SJ or PHX.

It will need a public IP and won't need network access to any internal hosts.

Let's sync up with the group on this..  We might be able to piggy back on the server we talked about last week, but we need to work through security implications and such.

This won't work, as the git server we are hoping to setup would be privately addressed, an this mirror needs a public ip.

Sorry Jeremy, I dropped the ball here.  This node is kickstarted but needs moved to its permanent vlan (81?  question mark there) and then puppetized.  Going to send this back to you to handle since I won't have time until next week and don't want to block this anymore
