1. Load Zimbra's mail client
2. Click on an email, so you see it in the bottom panel
3. The tricky part: Click and hold the mouse to the right of the |To: <addressee>| in the headers in the bottom panel. Drag straight up, so that you mark some text in black, moving the mouse while you are doing so up into the panel *above* it (with the list of emails. Your mouse should actually enter the above panel as you are dragging!). As a result, you should see all the headers in the bottom panel marked as selected (that should include: The email title, the From and To fields, and date).
4. With that in place, click on the scrollbar in the bottom panel, and drag it up or down for a significant distance.

Results:

After scrolling properly for a few pixels, suddenly you will find yourself dragging a weird visual element (looks a little like drag and drop, of part of the window maybe?), and the scrollbar doesn't move (you aren't dragging the scrollbar anymore).

Happens on Ubuntu 10.10 and OS X, so I presume it's not platform-specific.
Some open bugs about scrollbars not working properly because they are a part of a selection:
bug 345312, bug 442378, bug 491079, bug 572504;
where the selection is because they are a part of an <a>: bug 367028.
Possibly also bug 464655.
