Can we Cut out the extra white space between the download buttons and newsletter sign up (please see screenshot attachment) so users can see the newsletter sign up even if they have a smaller screen. 

If not, if we can make the beta button clickable to make it go to the bottom of the page (newsletter sign up) that would be great!

I'm hesitant to remove that white space - for one, having it there keeps the page from feeling too busy and cluttered (there's a nice balance now), and that area also uses the subtle downward-pointing arrow that's used as an element throughout the site. 

I agree that clicking on the beta button (for now) should direct you to the newsletter signup. Would that work as a compromise solution?

yup that's fine. if we can make it clickable and direct to the bottom of the page/newsletter sign up that would be great!

Steven - can you guys implement with within the 2.2 milestone? (that release would be next Tuesday). This is a small change to the future release pages.

The Coming Soon button now links down to the newsletter form. I also did drop a touch of padding between the buttons and the form - enough that I don't think it looks crowded.

Done in trunk in r87600. Merged to stage in r87601.
