Firefox Sync 1.7 doesn't work in SeaMonkey 2.0.13
firefox sync works great with Firefox 4.0 on xp and vista but not on seamonkey

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.load Firefox Sync 1.7 in SeaMonkey 2.0.13 tried on windows xp and vista
2.select Tools ad-on manager
3.select Firefox Sync 1.7
4. click on options
5 you are locked up
Actual Results:
3 buttons pop up without a form Connect Disconnect and Sync Now
none work and you have to terminate seamonkey to continue.
if you try to use the tools/set up sync menu option nothing happens to let you enter your Firefox Sync account information

Expected Results:
we have to have a menu to enter our Firefox Sync account information before this ad-don will work

even using the menu option Edit / Preferences / Sync option selecting Set Up Firefox Sync yields a nice looking window that does nothing even the Cancel button does not work
Component: General → Firefox Sync: UI
Product: SeaMonkey → Mozilla Services
QA Contact: general → sync-ui
the latest beta version SeaMonkey 2.1.b3 works with Sync without an add-on
the edit/preferences window Sync tab works as it should correcting the problem described above.
Even though it's a beta version i have found no new problems with it. even though i wish it would add a .com to an address when you press CTRL-ENTER.

If you don't know exactly which Mercurial changeset fixed the bug, the resolution is WORKSFORME, not FIXED (at Mozilla, the latter is used to mean: the bug was fixed by such-and-such a patch which was checked in at such-and-such a time).
Resolution: FIXED → WORKSFORME
This bug was filed against SeaMonkey 2.0.x and the Sync extension v1.7. We know that SM 2.1 has Sync built in.

Re-opening until a Sync Peer can verify if this bug is valid or not.

We don't actively maintain the Sync add-on for SeaMonkey, but we would accept patches for it. Note that with the inclusion of Sync into Firefox proper, the add-on is in critical bug and security fix mode now.
We're not doing any Sync work for SM2.0.

Wot? not even if someone submits a patch?

Submit a patch, and we'll talk :D

I know that SeaMonkey 2.0 is heading for deprecation. The Sync add-on is pretty much EOL, as it's not required for Fx4. We're certainly not planning to do any non-security-related work on it.

Unless someone stands up and says "I plan to submit patches to make Sync 1.7 work on SeaMonkey 2.0!", I don't see much point in keeping this bug alive.
