The ID popup triggers the popup blocker, because it asynchronously waits to see if it needs to pop-up, fooling the browser into thinking the popup was not connected with a user click.

Possible solution is to always pop up, but immediately close if not needed. Other suggestions welcome though, perhaps there is a better hack.
