Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

When using the bookmarks drop down menu, it is only possible to open embedded folders down to the second level. Beyond that, attempting to select deeper levels of saved/embedded bookmarks folders has no result - the deeper levels do not pop up at all when you mouse over the folder indicator triangle.

I have rebooted Firefox 4.0, and rebooted computer as well. No change. Am unable to access many bookmarks except to use the "Show All Bookmarks" menu selection.

It appears to be specific to smaller Macbook models. Does the same thing on the Macbook Pro 13" and the Macbook Air models. This bug does not appear to affect my Mac Mini with a 19" screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Firefox on Macbook Pro 13" or Macbook Air
2. Attempt to open a 3rd level bookmarks folder
3. Any level deeper than 2nd level will not appear.
Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
Additional folders should appear.
Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
No. It does not work correctly in safe mode.
Works for me on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110419 Firefox/6.0a1

I was able to open 5 levels with all the folders appearing.

Could you see if the issue occurs on a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it)

No change, still does not work with new empty profile.

Did you test it specifically on a small screen Mac laptop? I cannot replicate the problem on a 15" screen or larger, but on the 13" and smaller sizes it is consistent.
Reporter, does the issue is still reproducing on latest Firefox?
