You should be able to switch between tab groups with keyboard shortcuts. Similar to the way you can switch between tabs with Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, etc. Indeed, I wouldn't mind if those were replaced with tab group switching commands.

There should be a command that goes back to the most recent tab group, and there should be a command that goes to a specific numbered tab group. The user should be able to edit tab groups.

Reproducible: Always
Severity: normal → enhancement
Summary: Panorama/Tab group switching → Panorama/Tab group switching with keyboard commands
Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
At the moment, we have ctrl+(shift+)+` for switching between groups already.

Switch to a specific numbered tab group might not be suitable because it doesn't like tabs which you can see the order in the tabbar.
I think that bug 645371 would be a better choice.
