Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

A usability issue exists for keyboard-oriented users with the bookmark sidebar. For an example, please see "Steps to reproduce" and suggested improvements below.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press Ctrl+B to show the bookmarks sidebar (GOOD)
2. Type a few characters to filter the tree (GREAT!)
3. Want to select the first or second item (UM...)

Actual Results:
To open the first filtered item (apparently) requires pressing TAB, SPACE, ENTER. (The SPACE may be especially confusing for novice users.)

To open the second filtered item requires: TAB, DOWN-ARROW (x2), ENTER.

Expected Results:
It would be great if:
 * To open the first filtered item: ENTER.
 * To open the second filtered item: DOWN-ARROW (x2) then ENTER.

Examples I'm aware of supporting these accelerated key sequences: Google search website, Eclipse development environment.
Reproduced.
